Özet
In this study, magnesium alloy that contains Zn, Ca and Mn as alloying elements was studied as a degradable biomaterial. ZXM (MgY0. 75ZnY0. 18CaY0. 27Mn) magnesium alloy was produced by permanent gravity casting method under argon protective atmosphere. Pure Mg also produced with the same procedure is used as reference material. Also, homogenization heat treatment at 400 C for 12 hours applied to ZXM alloy to maNe a comparison with asYcast ZXM alloy and pure Mg. Scanning Electron Microscope/Electron Dispersive Spectroscopy and XYRay Diffraction analyses were used to identify phase constituents of the alloy. The mechanical properties of the materials were determined by using VicNers hardness test and tensile test at 37±1 C.
