Özet
Every technological transformations includes direct or indirect effects to life of community and a person’s life as a part of community. In addition transformation in communication tools not only effects to daily life practices, at the same time it influences all personal and social spheres that includes cognitive structures. The spread of personal computers by the following process developments in the internet and mobile devices has radically changed sharing information and forms of communication. Social media applications emerged in this process has an effects extends over a very large range. This study focused to categorise the social media type emerged in this process and influence to psychological situation of individuals. The purpose of the study, determine the stress and anxiety levels of individuals in relation with type and rate of social media use. Data used in this study collected from 487 students continuing their education in Karabuk University Business Faculty by the survey method. In conclusion study determined that social media usage frequency and duration of use; increases students stress and anxiety levels. At the same time study determines that levels of stress and anxiety varies by social network type.
