Özet
In the present work static strain ageing behaviour in a C-Mn-Al-VN microalloyed steel was examined. The results of this study have confirmed that static strain ageing takes place in C-Mn-Al-VN microalloyed steel under as-received and air cooled conditions. However, air cooled samples were more susceptible to static strain ageing compared to as-received samples as evidenced a larger increase in stress after straining and ageing. Transmission electron microscope (TEM) examination has also indicated that air cooled samples contained larger amounts of carbon and nitrogen in solid solution compared to as-received samples.
