Özet
In this study, the artificial ageing behavior (deformation ageing) of AA7075 Al-alloy is investigated. A certain part of the aluminum test pieces obtained commercially as T6 heat treated was solution heat treated at 480oC for 2 hours, then quenched in water. Test samples were strained for 8% in tension shortly after the solution heat treatment then aged at 140oC 0.5, 1, 2, 4 6, 8, 10, 12, 24, 36, 48, 72 and 96 hours in a furnace. In order to determine an effect of deformation ageing in the mechanical properties of aluminum alloys, the effect of ageing time on the ultimate tensile strength, yield strength,% elongation fracture and hardness were investigated in detail. The relationship between ageing and microstructure was also evaluated.
