| Özet |
| Considering the history of art, artists have frequently made use of the concept of the unconscious in creating individual and symbolic imaginations. One of these artists is Paul Delvaux. Delvaux presents the imaginary and unreality of her works with striking elements in a surrealist atmosphere with compositions containing intense metaphysical effects. Paul Delvaux's use of female bodies in his works is particularly striking. Analyzing the images and symbols used by the artist who combines ideal female bodies with an uneasy atmosphere is very important in order to make sense of the artist's world. For this reason, this research aims to evaluate the works of the Belgian painter Paul Delvaux, one of the most important representatives of the surrealism movement, the images he uses in his works, the symbolic meanings of these images and the semantic dimensions of all these images in the audience. |
